Championship Chocolate Chip Bars

Make a winning sweet treat for after the next game. Condensed milk makes these chocolate chip squares soft and moist. You can add nuts for extra crunch or mix and match different flavors of HERSHEY'S Baking Chips.

  • 1-1/2 cups
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup
    butter or margarine (1 stick) cold
  • 2 cups
    HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (12-oz. pkg.), divided
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.) (not evaporated milk)
  • 1
    egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 cup
    chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350°F.


Stir together flour and brown sugar in medium bowl; cut in cold butter until crumbly. Stir in 1/2 cup chocolate chips; press mixture on bottom of ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.

Baking Tip

Set aside 1/4 cup chocolate chips from filling; melt and drizzle over cooled bars.


Combine sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla in large bowl. Stir in remaining 1-1/2 cups chips and nuts. Spread evenly over hot baked crust. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
