A quick and easy chocolate mousse recipe that’s rich in flavor and as fluffy as a dream cloud? This chocolate mousse recipe is all that and more. With HERSHEY’S cocoa or HERSHEY’S SPECIAL DARK cocoa and a few other simple ingredients, you can create a scrumptious, no-bake mousse. With light, fluffy and creamy chocolate mousse ready to be licked clean from the bowl, you can also add any topping you like. Try shaving a milk chocolate bar or adding fresh fruit. Better yet, crumble graham crackers and sprinkle marshmallows on top for the ultimate s’more dessert. You’ll have your friends asking how to make chocolate mousse after the first bite every time.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp
    unflavored gelatin
  • 1 Tbsp
    cold water
  • 2 Tbsps
    boiling water
  • 1/2 cup
    sugar
  • 1/4 cup
    HERSHEY'S Cocoa or HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa
  • 1 cup
    whipping creme (1/2 pt) cold
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in small bowl; let stand 1 minute to soften. Add boiling water; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved and mixture is clear. Cool slightly.

Stir together sugar and cocoa in medium bowl; add whipping cream and vanilla. Beat on medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bottom of bowl occasionally, until mixture is stiff. Pour in gelatin mixture; beat until well blended. Spoon into serving dishes.

Tip

Whip cocoa mixture only until mixture forms stiff peaks when mixer beaters are lifted.

Refrigerate about 30 minutes before serving. Garnish as desired. Cover; refrigerate leftover desserts. Four 1/2 cup servings.

Double Recipe: Use 1 envelope gelatin; double remaining ingredients. Follow directions above, using large bowl instead of medium bowl.
