    sugar
  • 1/3 cup
  • 3
    eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup
    light corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 cup
    pecan halves
  • 1
    pie crust (9-inch) unbaked
  • 1 cup
    whipped topping

Heat oven to 350°F.

Stir sugar and cocoa together in medium bowl. Add eggs, corn syrup, butter and vanilla; stir until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into unbaked pie crust.

Bake 60 minutes or until set. Remove from oven to wire rack. Cool completely. Garnish with whipped topping.

Tip

Cover crust with foil during the last 15 minutes of baking if it starts to get too brown.
