There’s no doubt that Grandma’s pumpkin pie and other homemade baked goodies are scrum-didly-umtious...but we have to say, this easy pumpkin pie recipe goes above and beyond all others. It takes just an hour and a half to get this mouthwatering dessert just right. With a mix of all the best ingredients, including HERSHEY’S milk chocolate chips for a chocolaty touch of something extra, this homemade pumpkin pie makes Thanksgiving and holiday dessert tables even more decadent. If you’re being honest, this pumpkin pie recipe may just become your new favorite — just don’t tell Grandma!
Heat oven to 350°F. Brush the bottom and side of the crust with egg yolk to seal it. Place crust on baking sheet; bake 5 minutes.
Blend the remaining whole egg, pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk and pumpkin pie spice in a large bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup of HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips; pour into crust.
Place the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips into a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at medium (50%) for 30 seconds; stir. If necessary. Microwave at medium for an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until the chips are melted and smooth when stirred. Drizzle melted chocolate over pie in decorative pattern.
Melted chocolate can also be dropped by dollops and swirled with knife for a marbled effect.
Bake on baking sheet 50 to 55 minutes or until wooden pick inserted into center of pie comes out clean. Cool 1 hour. Serve topped with whipped cream; garnish with additional milk chocolate chips, if desired. Cover; refrigerate leftover pie.
