Ingredients

    strips of bacon
  • 1 medium
    onion, diced
  • 1 small
    jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 pound
    ground beef
  • 1 tsp
    ground chipotle chili powder
  • 1/2 cup
    barbeque sauce
  • 4
  • tortilla chips
  • cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Additional
    REESE'S Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, chopped into pieces (optional)
  • Additional
    jalapeno pepper, sliced thinly (optional)

Cook bacon until crispy. Drain; chop into small pieces.

Add about 1 teaspoon fat from bacon to medium frying pan. Add bacon pieces, onion and jalapeno pieces. Cook over medium heat several minutes or until onion is translucent. Add ground beef. Continue cooking until no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Stir in chipotle powder and barbecue sauce. Heat and stir until mixture is well blended and hot.

Remove wrappers from peanut butter cups and chop into small pieces. Add to meat mixture, stirring until cups are melted and mixture is blended.

Serve mixture with or over tortilla chips. Top with shredded cheese. Add additional chopped peanut butter cups and jalapeno slices, if desired. Makes about 4 cups nacho topping.
